Our global maternity fee is $6,000 and includes a $500, non-refundable enrollment fee. This fee covers:

  • Full Prenatal Care

  • Midwife care during labor, birth and immediate postpartum

  • Childbirth education classes

  • Prenatal breastfeeding class

  • 36 week prenatal home visit for all home birth families

  • 24 to 48 hour postpartum home visit for all families

  • Birth Assistant Fee

  • Newborn Exam

  • Postpartum breastfeeding visit by a CLC or IBCLC

  • Metabolic Screening of Newborn

  • Critical Congenital Heart Defect Screening of the Newborn

  • Postpartum visits at 2 and 6 weeks

  • Filing Birth Certificate

  • Insurance Billing

Items that are not covered in our global fee that would be billed to the insurance company or paid out of pocket include:

  • Ultrasounds

  • Lab Fees

  • Birth Kit

  • Fees incurred by consulting physicians or hospitals

  • Fees from outside sources in the event of transfer

Home birth and birth center birth is covered by private insurance.  By Florida statute number 627.6574 : “birth with a licensed midwife is covered by any group, blanket, or franchise policy of health insurance that provides coverage for maternity care.” We will attempt to work with your insurance company, but you are responsible for any differences/deductibles or other expenses that your insurance company does not pay. There is a $500, non-refundable enrollment fee due at your first visit. If you cannot pay this fee in full at your first visit, please let our office know when you schedule your first appointment.

We are currently in network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare and Florida Medicaid. If you are insured by Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare or Florida Medicaid, our services should be covered at your plans in-network rate unless restrictions exist in your policy.

If you do not have one of the health insurances listed here, you are considered self pay. We do not bill out-of-network insurance plans, Medicaid as a secondary insurance, Medicaid Share of Cost nor do we request in network exceptions with insurance plans we are not credentialed with. Payment plans can be arranged at the time of your first visit. If you are seeking reimbursement from your health insurance, we will supply you with a detailed receipt once payment is received in full.

We use Express Claims as our third party biller. You can verify your health insurance benefits and request an in-network rate by visiting their website here. The fee for this service is $25.
